"Foreign teachers" experience the construction of new socialist countryside

On 9th October, foreign teacher Sophia and all the students of grade 8 went to Jiangxiang village to experience the new rural construction.

Sophia and the students wash vegetables together, cut vegetables and make a fire, and cook on a local stove. This is her first time cooking on the traditional kitchen in the countryside.

In the afternoon, Sophia and her students had a good time with rolling the hoop and pulling the whipping top.

Meanwhile, Sophia also visited the village history exhibition hall of Jiangxiang village and was surprised by the amazing changes of Jiangxiang village in recent decades.

After the autumn tour, Sophia wrote the following thoughts:

I am so glad to have had the chance to go to Jiangxiang and learn about its history. It is amazing to see the change from how the village was in 1960. It looks like a beautiful place to live! And I was so impressed with the students and their cooking skills on the traditional stoves.

（我非常开心能有机会参观蒋巷村，了解它的历史。1960年以来村子的巨变令人惊叹。这个村子是美丽的居住地。学生们在土灶上精湛的厨艺，使我印象深刻。）
