On November 19, 2019, the cold wind outside the window made Suzhou seem to enter into winter overnight, while in the Vibration Hall of Suzhou Blind Deaf School, it was warm as spring. When we enter the familiar and mysterious wood garden again, it brings us a different shock. Looking back, in 2017, the program brought a very good curriculum experience to the students. In 2018, they presented uniforms to the school drum team and the flag team.

So what's going to happen this year?

Look, the students in the vocational class have changed their white uniforms early and are waiting for their partners, because today, they are the real teachers.

The first step of making steamed dumplings - noodles, is also the most difficult step. How much water and flour to put in, how to stir chopsticks, when can we start to knead the dough, how to use the technique and the dough? It's totally a big problem. If you don't pay attention to one, you may not be able to knead a dough. The students demonstrated and taught the foreign teachers face to face. Although their words are not clear, they can understand each other's meaning in an instant.

The next step is "rolling". It's not easy. How to grasp the dough with the left hand, how to roll the rolling pin with the right hand, and how to make the "crooked nuts" of steamed dumplings for the first time are really confused and defeated repeatedly. However, our little teachers are very patient, not only teach seriously, but also hand to hand to demonstrate, practice.

Finally, settle down! The next step to success is making steamed dumplings.

This step is relatively simple. Foreign teachers use chopsticks to spread or stuff the stuffing into the dough that has already been kneaded. They pinch and pinch. Although the beauty is not good, the degree of completion is very high. I'd like to praise it.

On the other hand, in the flower house of Suzhou blind and deaf school, Dr. Yuliia led the students into the art palace of oil painting. Oil painting is one of the main types of Western painting. With the help of the covering power and transparency of the pigment, the painting object can be fully displayed. It is not only rich in color, but also has strong three-dimensional texture.

Students without any oil painting foundation, surrounded by Yuliia with curiosity, painting the world one by one. Seeing that the teacher painted so well, the students showed a little envy and were eager to try. The children are very spiritual. They can't see that they are beginners.

From time to time, Yuliia helps students to revise their paintings and teach them how to draw. Art has no borders, it does not need too much speech communication, and soul communication is deeper.

The two hours soon passed, and the intelligent children completed their great works. They were very happy to hold their own paintings, full of sense of achievement.

Courtesy is less than affection. A greeting card, a box of chocolates, a hug and a photo all represent a little care.

At the time of parting, the foreign teachers write their blessings and messages on the small cards. Although they spend only two hours together in the afternoon, they have a deep friendship. Embrace and take photos of each other, just to keep the beautiful experience a little longer. When the car started the moment, we saw the teachers and students are reluctant.

Although the time of teaching activities is short, it is meaningful. Since the establishment of the project, Suzhou Education Bureau has regularly sent teachers to the corresponding schools every year. We are looking forward to meeting again next year.
